The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. For a long time, I have been looking for words to best describe my parents. Their life, their characters, their experience, their stories. It seems that I can't express it in words, until I found that quote. Kinda feel like hitting the jackpot machine. Lol.

I have watched them during their difficult times, how they supported each other and found their way out. Their sincerity to help others makes our home is a go to home for strangers who stop by and ask for water to drink or a permission to sit in a small garden outside of our house. I often discuss this with my mom. How funny and pleasing it is that from about 20 houses in our housing complex, strangers choose to knock on our door for help.

This is for two beautiful people in my life.
