I pick Ms. J up every Friday and last Friday, I decided to make a little surprise for her. So I stopped by at a 99 cent store and bought this balloon. I was ecstatic when I saw this balloon because it is so her. She likes to say, "Mommy, XOXOXO!" Her face totally turned into a full joy when she saw this and as soon as I tied the balloon up on her wrist, she was running around like crazy. LOL. It totally reminds me that we do too should be delighted in little things, just like children.

Ms. J insisted to watering the grass when we went to a nearby park last weekend to get some pics. I can tell that she really loved doing it.

I read many times about finding your photography style and I am still not sure what that means or what does it include to? Does it mean that we have to shoot using a consistent angle? Does it mean we have to use the same tone in our pictures? I am really not sure. I shoot from the angle that I like and I have been trying different tones with my pictures lately. I guess I do not have a consistent style. LOL.

On another note, I have been thinking that it would be nice to try to shoot with film camera and really learn about dark room. Wouldn't it be nice? The digital world has made it so easy for use to correct our images in the post processing. However, I believe that it would be nice if we could get it correct in the first time so that we can spend less time correcting images and spend more time to actually take images. Who is with me? :)

My husband usually works on Saturday (please insert boo-ing sound effect here) so it would be just me and Ms. J on Saturday. She has a ballet and tap class that finishes at 2.30 pm and if we were in a blank mode as to what to do next, we usually just go home and spend the rest of the afternoon together.

One Saturday afternoon, I got really bored and ran out of idea of games we could play. So I asked her, "Can I dress you up and take your pics?" Ms. J said, "Okaaay.." (as in... again, mom? really? you mean now? sigh...). LOL. OK, I overreacted here.

So I put on a dress on her and a headband from Chic Pretties. I picked up my camera and then she suddenly ran to the window. I was ready to give her a deep sigh until I saw what she was trying to do. She peeled off a lips-shaped window sticker and pressed it on her own mouth. LOL... I think that's quite a lovely photo prop.

I received this gorgeous hat from Chic Pretties on Saturday to be modeled. I was disappointed to learn that we were going to have shower on Sunday, which meant I had to wait for another week to take some pictures. It turned out, the sun shone and the day was beautifully warm. I was ecstatic! So after we went to the Sunday Easter mass, I packed up some prop and headed to a nearby park. Jo was really in the mood of playing rather than modeling. We had a late lunch at 2.00 pm, I bribed her with a box of strawberry milk (yes I am bad and desperate!) but at the end of the session she said that she was starving. I guess it's her way of asking for payment. LOL.

{Meet Ms. J, the Girliest Girl}

Ms. J is a true girly girl. She likes her hair long, she likes to wear dresses, and keep everything in order. She used to love pink color, but recently declared that pink is boring and opted for purple. :)

She is learning to read the label on every food package, particularly looking for the sugar content (insert giggle here). She said too much sugar is not good for your teeth (you can roll your eyes here. lol).

She would hug me and said, "I love you mommy. You are the best in the whole world." Who doesn't love to hear that. She can also be a little goofy like the other night when she suddenly ran to the bathroom while E was brushing his teeth. Then I heard E screamed, "Ooooouch!" (insert imagination of a face in so much pain here for dramatic effect. Then Ms. J ran back to me, giggling and said, "I just bit papa!" I said, "WHAAAAT? Give me high five!!" (yeah, I am bad).

She also has a kind heart and a deep care for others. She would give me a massage with her little hands when I complain that I have a headache. Then she would hug and kiss me and then ask, "Are you feeling better?"

I am so blessed and delighted that she is part of my life....

I was so determined to take pics of Ms. J and she was so cooperative that day. :)
We went to Kissena Park and it was a little cloudy and cold. But Ms. J embraced the moment and even refused to put the jacket on. Such a trooper!





I bribed my model with juice. LOL. At least it is organic!



She's been goofy lately, which I totally love.

There has been so many things happening in my life lately. I just feel that 2011 is not the year from me.

It started in February when I learned a news that one of my uncle passed away due to heart attack. A few weeks after that, my mom was admitted to hospital due to her heart condition. As if those are not enough, I received news from my sister that she is diagnosed with precancerous condition.

I was stunned. I don't know how to react to all these. All these events make me realize how fragile life is. I feel so useless and powerless being so far away from my family. I feel that my sister would do so much better if I was there to accompany her to her doctor. I feel that my mom would not be in this condition if I were home helping taking care of my father. In the end, I choose to let God do His will. I am sure that He loves my parents and my family.

Happy Monday! Eggs is one of my favorite food! Anyway you cook it, I'll eat it. :D But my super duper fave would be an omelet with fresh mushroom, cheese, grape tomatoes, and baby spinach.
