{Winter Break, oh...and Merry Christmas}
25 December 2012I am excited that I can take a week off from work and spend time with her. I even made a list of things we will do and places we will visit!
So today is the first day. She did some reading in the morning and did few pages of her homework before we got ready. We started the day with a brunch at Le Pain Quotidien (hmm yeah, don't ask me how to pronounce it.) I think I've been to this place with my sis at SOHO. But we went to the one near Bryant Park so that we could just cross the street to see the holiday market afterwards. It was quite a chilly day, but we did have a blast.
We stopped by at Macy's to write a letter to Santa. What she wrote totally made me teary. She wrote that she doesn't want anything this Christmas, because she already has a home, warm clothes, and toys. She asked if Santa could give coats, shoes, and houses to homeless people. I hugged her tight.
We then made cookies for Santa and she kept on saying, "This is so much fuuun!" Lol. She wrote a note to Santa and also placed a glass of water for all the 12 reindeer. :)
