Letters to My Daughter, December 2013
30 December 2013
My dear Jo,
Phew! What a year this has been! Reflecting back, I’d like
to think that we have experienced circumstances that have helped both of us
grow. We shared the laughs when the sky was filled with rainbow colors. We waved
our hands and buried our faces into one another and we suddenly found comfort.
When the day is dull, you are my instant happiness. Because you are the love itself. Pure, humble,
sincere, comforting, defending, forgiving and caring. You give without thinking
of receiving back.
Without doubt you’ve grown by leaps and bounds, and have
been picking up new things along the way.
You learned about patience when waiting for your turn (which
I know was a very long time) on your first dance performance.
You learn about working towards goals through writing and
the winter reading challenge.
Trusting your instinct and taking that into another level
when you navigated a new adventure.
Nurturing the creative mind through dancing, baking and
scrapbooking.
Exploring new places, meeting new people, making new friends.
This year has its dull moments, but there are plenty things that we can and should be thankful for. I look forward to start a new year, spending time, sharing stories, exchanging hugs, laughing until our stomach hurts and growing together with you.
I love you to the moon and back. And many more.
Bunda
This month, I am linking to a photographer and a mother whose letters are always filled with wise and honest words, Rashmi Pappy of Rashmi Pappu Photographer.
I have loved getting to know you and Jo over this year - it's been quite a journey of a year I know but I can't wait to see what 2014 brings to you and your sweet girl xx
